Combat part 1

The moment everyone is waiting for.  At least the stronger ones, the others will try to escape.

During a fight, the human (or a demon) player rolls a number of Combat dice equal to the warrior’s CBT score. Each die with a score higher than or equal to the selected target’s DEF score is counted as a hit. The troglodytes rolls one die per figurine in combat.

Example: Frank, Fred and Nicolas, three basic troglodytes wait for Christophe, the Redeemer. The Demon player rolls 3 dice (one for each troglodyte) and the results are 1/4/6. If we take a look at the DEF value for Christophe on his reference card, we see that he has 4, so he takes two hits, one for the 4 and one for the 6 result.

The damage resolution is very simple. For each amount of damage received, a troglodyte dies. The Demon receives a Wound token. As soon as the number of Wound tokens becomes equal to or greater than its Health score, the Demon is removed from the game. For Human warriors, each hit requires the Human player to select a line of Action that will then be cancelled. Placing a die on this line becomes useless. The character will not be activated for the turn. The choice of which line of action will be removed (decide by the Human player) is very strategic.

Example: Christophe takes 2 hits. The Human player has to select 2 Lines of Action. He chooses line 1 and 5. Those lines are not usable anymore. OUCH!!
